Battery Saving Tips for Rugged Phones

The battery capacity is a continuous struggle for every cell phone user. When you have a rugged phone and you are on-site working or out there adventuring you do not have to constantly worry about your phone's battery going down. When work or fun calls the nagging worry about the battery is uncalled for. The battery is going to run down eventually, but you can follow these basic tips, to at least, let the battery last as long as it can.

  • Network signal and Battery are correlative
Your phone usage and the internet use, utilizes the battery capacity, but were you aware of the fact that, the more poor is your network signal, the more battery your phone consumes. So, if you face the problem of weak signal or are in a weak signal area, then you can turn your phone into Airplane Mode to save your phone's battery.

  • Lower the screen brightness
The LCD brightness also affects your battery power, hence you should make sure if you are not out then, you should reduce the brightness of your phone or screen to save your battery.

  • Whittle the pixels
Mostly rugged devices avoid using high resolution screens for the fact that the screen is expensive to replace when it is damaged and also they utilize less battery to steer low pixels.

  • Keep the power saving mode on
Almost all the devices have the option of power saving, which should be used. Create time outs to turn your screen's power down to save battery.

  • Maintain battery's temperature
Batteries shouldn't be too hot or cold. You should make sure that if you are working in temperatures above 35° or below 0°, your rugged phone's battery is as warm or cold as required or as you can keep, since your phone's battery life is affected.

  • Adjust background applications
There are various applications running silently in the background and that is a huge hazard for your battery life. Usually your rugged devices, do not have too many unnecessary applications, but there can be few applications like tracking applications or mobile device management that can be adjusted to track less to save battery.


Lastly, you can always charge your phone, whether on a customer site, in a cafe, or on a move, charge your phone when the opportunity arises, not letting your battery run down.
